Cops killing: APGA hails police for dislodging Anambra gunmen

The All Progressives Grand Alliance has commended the Anambra State Police Command for dislodging a gang of hoodlums that attacked and killed two police officers at the Uga Roundabout in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State last Thursday.

The two policemen, who were said to be from the Enugu State command were on a special mission on the convoy of a top politician before they were attacked by the hoodlums while going ahead in a traffic in the area.

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra, CP Aderemi Adeoye, had disclosed the killing of the hoodlums to journalists on Monday, adding that they were dislodged during a raid on their camp in Ogboji, Orumba South LGA after a manhunt was launched against them after due diligence.

Reacting, the National Coordinator, Media Warriors Forum of APGA, Chinedu Obigwe, said the police’s response to the hoodlums showed that the government was responsible for securing the state.

Obigwe said, “We will first of all commend Anambra Police command and the administration of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for this good job. Anambra is no longer a state where you can commit a crime and go scot-free.”
