Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro has congratulated the families whose daughters were honored in this year’s Ovia Osese cultural celebration, praising their commitment to raising children with strong values and integrity.

The 2026 edition of the prestigious Ovia Osese Cultural Festival in Ogori, Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area, was held on Saturday amidst colourful displays of tradition, culture, and unity.

In a statement signed by the spokesperson, Obaro Grassroots Alliance Media Team, Kabir Imu Salma, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senate aspirant encouraged other parents to emulate such standards, stressing that proper upbringing earns respect and dignity for young women, especially in marriage and society at large.

The statement said though Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro was unavoidably absent at this year’s celebration, he warmly extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the organizers and the entire good people of Ogori.

In his message, Chief Obaro described the Ovia Osese Festival as a symbol of the rich history, identity, and cherished values of the Ogori people. He emphasized the importance of preserving such cultural heritage for future generations, noting that the festival continues to promote discipline, morality, and communal pride.

Chief Obaro assured the people of Ogori of his continued support and pledged to be physically present at the next edition of the festival. He further expressed optimism that, with his aspiration to represent Kogi Central Senatorial District, the festival would witness greater support and become even more vibrant and widely celebrated.

He also called on the people to remember him in their prayers as he pursues the senatorial mandate, expressing confidence that collective support and goodwill would bring success to the project.
