Raphael Onyedika sustained an injury during Club Brugge’s 2-1 defeat to Union St.Gilloise in their Belgian Pro League clash on Sunday.

Onyedika was replaced by captain Hans Vanaken in the 68th minute after sustaining the injury.

Brugge will hope the Nigeria international’s injury is not serious as they seek to mount a title challenge in the final weeks of the campaign.

The defensive midfielder is viewed as an important player for the former champions.

Brugge remain in second position on the table with 38 points.

They will host KV Mechelen in their next league game on Wednesday.
