Tuggar made the declaration on Sunday during a press conference, a day after officially announcing his intention to contest for the APC gubernatorial ticket.
Describing himself as a loyal and committed party member, he noted that he has consistently respected party decisions in previous contests.
“I am a faithful and committed party man. This is not the first time I am aspiring, and I have never challenged any outcome or worked against the party. What we are asking for is a transparent process,” he said.
He pointed to the presence of three former state party chairmen at the briefing as evidence of his longstanding loyalty and cooperative political approach.
“If I were a troublesome party member, they would not be here with me,” he added.
Tuggar stated that he is open to any mode of primary adopted by the party, whether consensus or direct primaries, as long as due process is strictly followed.
“Whichever method is adopted—consensus or direct primaries—I am ready and will abide by the outcome, provided it is conducted in line with party guidelines,” he affirmed.

Reacting to concerns raised by opposition parties about a possible drift toward a one-party system under the APC, Tuggar dismissed the claims, describing them as part of normal political discourse.
“There are always accusations and counter-accusations in politics. Even within the APC, members have reasons to raise concerns about the actions of the opposition. It is a normal part of democratic engagement,” he said.
He expressed confidence that the 2027 elections would remain competitive, assuring that multiple presidential candidates would emerge and that Nigerians would have the freedom to choose their leaders.
Tuggar also voiced optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would secure the APC presidential ticket and win re-election in 2027.
