AE-FUNAI Postpones First Semester Exams 2025/2026

Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, has announced a postponement of the 2025/2026 First Semester examinations.

The First Semester exams were earlier scheduled to start on Monday, 23 February 2026; the university has now moved the start date by 2 weeks.

What changed

AE-FUNAI informed the University Community that the First Semester examinations will no longer commence on 23 February 2026. The shift is by 2 weeks; students should Keep that date change in view while planning study time and departmental tasks.

Reason for the postponement

The university linked the adjustment to a clash with the following activities:

• The weeklong ASUU AE-FUNAI Sport Fiesta
• Health week
• Indigent students Scholarship Programme
• The Vice-Chancellor’s familiarisation tours of the Faculties

What happens to revision classes

Revision classes will continue by 2 March 2026. Students are expected to stay with the revision timetable; the campus schedule remains active while the examination date is pending.

When the new exam date will be shared

AE-FUNAI stated that a new date for the First Semester examinations will be announced later. Until that notice arrives, students should watch for the next official update and avoid relying on corridor Talk.
