In a video shared online, the journalist compared the situation in Nigeria with his experiences in Canada. He recalled how the Canadian government declared a national day of mourning after a school shooting and how he was granted time off work after covering a fatal school-related accident due to the emotional impact of the assignment.
According to him, repeated exposure to violence has made many Nigerians appear numb to disturbing events, with people often moving on quickly after tragedies occur.
