2027 will be my last attempt to become president — Atiku

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has vowed that the 2027 presidential election will be his final attempt at the presidency.

Atiku made the disclosure during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time programme on Wednesday.

“The 2027 election will be my last outing,” he said.

The former presidential candidate, who has contested for the office since 1992, said Nigeria faces a leadership challenge, adding that he represents both experience and vision for the country’s future.

He also stressed the need for leadership training for young Nigerians, noting that the country requires a new generation of well-prepared leaders.
