The newest political party, Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), on Sunday, welcomed members of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dekina Local Government Chapter, into its fold.

NNPP collapsed its entire structure from the local government, ward and polling units into the NDC party in Dekina LGA.
The event was graced by the Dekina Local Government Party Chairman of NNPP, Hon Amodu Joseph, the Youth Leader, Monday Ajibili, the Woman Leader, Hajia Mariam Suleiman, other LG executive members, all their 12 ward Chairmen and their executives.
Also, Hon Alidu Ibrahim Toroto led old Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) bloc to NDC while Hon Sumaila Ibrahim led PDP bloc to the new party.
State Leader of NDC in Kogi state, Hon Ajodo Onuh, said his team has extensively laid a strong foundation and impact because they are whole heartedly committed and championing the growth of the NDC in Kogi East, in Kogi State and beyond.



Ajodo said they are committed to ensuring that NDC becomes an household name and major opposition force to be reckoned with ahead of 2027 general elections.

“Our continuous engagement and collaborations at the grassroot has been nothing but passion to see that Kogi State is truly liberated.
“Kogi State is fully with the vision of our National Leader, H.E Senator Dickson Seriake.
“NDC, today, is a party free from all forms of legal battles and a platform that really want to bring people in positions of power to serve the people and not the other way round.
“It is a party that has sat back observed closely and decided to right all the wrongs of other parties come 2027 general elections,” he said.
Ajodo said NDC offers an opportunity for like minds, aspirants and intending members to come and be a part of this intentional service to the nation.
