2027: APC Stakeholders Endorse Olawumi Jacob as Consensus Candidate for Mopamuro State Constituency

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mopamuro local government area have unanimously adopted and endorsed the current member representing the area in the Kogi State House of Assembly. Hon. Olawumi Jacob as the sole candidate of the party.

This was made known after a critical stakeholders’ meeting of the APC in Mopamuro LGA on Sunday.

The meeting was attended by party leaders across all levels, including Local Government Party Executives, Members of the State Executive Committee of the APC from Mopamuro, Ward Chairmen from the ten wards in the Local Government Area, serving and former political office holders, as well as other key stakeholders and party faithful.

After extensive deliberations marked by frank contributions, mutual understanding, and a shared commitment to the progress of the party, the stakeholders resolved that the decision to endorse Olawumi as APC consensus candidate for Mopamuro State Constituency reflects the collective will of the leadership and members of the party to ensure unity, stability, and electoral success.

The stakeholders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the unity, growth, and continued dominance of the APC in Mopamuro Local Government Area, urg ing all members to close ranks and work together in the overall interest of the party.

Commenting on the outcome of the stakeholders meeting, Hon Kingsley Fanwo said all party structures, from the ward level to the local government level, were charged to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts in support of the consensus candidate, with a view to securing a resounding victory in the forthcoming elections.

“The stakeholders reiterated their loyalty and support to the leadership of the party at the state and national levels, while pledging to align with the vision and policies of the APC.

“Members were encouraged to maintain discipline, promote inclusiveness, and ensure that every segment of the party is carried along in the collective pursuit of success,” he said.

The stakeholders commended Hon. Moses Sunday David Alumo, an aspirant for the position, who accepted the consensus decision for his sportsmanship and belief in the party.

The consensus decision has also been endorsed by the elders of the party.
