Naija News reports that Wike, during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, expressed disappointment over what he described as Fubara’s misplaced priorities.

According to Wike, Governor Fubara has yet to submit a budget to the Rivers State House of Assembly, but is instead pursuing his second-term ambition at the expense of key governance responsibilities.

The minister warned that the delay in budget presentation could hamper the smooth running of government activities and the delivery of essential services to the people of Rivers State.

He said, “The governor is yet to submit his budget to the House of Assembly but he is busy running for second term ambition.”

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has accused Wike of influencing the selection of governorship candidates for both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the PDP in Rivers State.

George described the development as troubling, warning that it could destabilise the PDP and the country’s political environment if not addressed.

The PDP chieftain spoke on Wednesday during an interview on Arise Television’s*Morning Show.

George expressed concern over the lingering crisis in the PDP, describing it as unprecedented.

He criticised some party members, particularly those in Wike’s faction, for allegedly refusing to abide by the party’s rules and procedures.
