Valentine’s Day not only for lovers – Chinko Ekun

A rapper, Emmanuel Oladipo, aka Chinko Ekun, has said that celebrating Valentine’s Day should not be restricted to people in romantic relationships.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, he said, “Valentine’s Day should not be restricted to only those in love. During Valentine, I usually get gifts for my friends, my lawyer, my mother, and my sister. Even those around me, such as my security guy, get something from me on Valentine’s Day, no matter how small. I usually go out on dates for Valentine’s Day, but most times, I am busy with shows.”

The artiste also noted that he recently released a new single titled, ‘Wait’, in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. He said, “I released a new song in the course of the week, featuring Ozed. The song asks a lady what she wants from the relationship; whether is it love, money or attention. That is because clarity is one of the things people like to shy away from. But, I think that in any relationship, clarity is needed at some point.”

The ‘Able God’ singer noted that he had no plans on going out for the lover’s day, he was billed to perform at a Valentine’s Day party.
