Transfer: Atalanta coach admits Lookman could join PSG in January

Atalanta manager, Gian Piero Gasperini, has dropped a major hint that Paris Saint-Germain will try to land Ademola Lookman in the January transfer window.

Gasperini was speaking after the Super Eagles winger finished 14th in Monday’s Ballon d’Or award in Paris.

Lookman, who is the only African player to be nominated for the award, has been on PSG’s wishlist in the summer transfer window.

Reacting to the latest development, Gasperini in a chat with La Gazzetta dello Sport stated that the Paris club will make every attempt to sign Lookman in January.

“Lookman tempted in the summer by PSG? No, it was not a good moment. And who knows, maybe certain hypotheses will recur, hopefully not in January.

“But in the meantime, now, it is only important that he is ‘inside’ the team.”
