Three House of Assembly speakers of in the South-West converged on Ondo State on Thursday to deliberate on the development of the region through legislative activities.
The speakers – Olamide Oladiji (Ondo), Adebo Ogundoyin (Oyo) and Adewale Egbedun (Osun) said they had resolved to deepen peer review, collaborate and synergise with a view to bringing dividends of democracy to the people of the region.
Speaking, the host and Speaker of Ondo Assembly, Oladiji, explained that the visit was a novel one that would go a long way in strengthening the bond of unity across the South-West.
He said, “The visit is a right step in a right direction irrespective of political affiliation, and I believe the gesture would no doubt bring about meaningful development and unity to the entire South-West,”
Also speaking, his Oyo State counterpart, Ogundoyin, said the meeting would strengthen relationship among the South-West states.
