Rapper Offset shot outside Florida casino

American rapper Kiari Kendrell Cephus, popularly known as Offset, was shot on Monday in Hollywood, Florida, United States and is currently in stable condition at a hospital, according to his spokesperson and the police.

The shooting happened after 7 p.m. in the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, where police said two people have been detained and an investigation is ongoing.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” his spokesperson said.

The Seminole Police Department said officers responded to the scene shortly after the shooting.

“The site is secure and there is no threat to the public,” police said.

Offset, who is a rapper, singer and songwriter,  was previously married to Cardi B, and the pair share two children.

The incident comes more than three years after fellow Migos rapper Takeoff was fatally shot in November 2022.
