Controversial singer, Habeeb Adunni Olawunmi Okikiola also known well as Portable is set to face prosecution for being rude to a police officer.
In the early hours of yesterday, some police officers stormed the apartment of the singer Portable to arrest him. A video popped up on social media where Potable was heard shouting and challenging the police.
He was heard saying: “I am a federal Government liability. I work with the Government too. I work with APC”.
Following the incident, the Nigerian Police Force, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that Portable was likely to suffer persecution over his behavior towards the police officer.
According to Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Portable declined to accept earlier invitations, the reason why some police officers stormed his house to arrest him.
While speaking to Linda Ikeji Blog, the police command disclosed that countless invitations were sent to Portable but refused to honor the invitation; leading to his arrest. However, the singer resisted and caused a commotion at his bar.
The police command stated that the action of the singer is unlawful and subject to punishment under Nigerian criminal law.
