PHOTOS: FIRS Inspires Future Leaders at Apo Secondary School: “Together, We Pay Tax; Together, We Build Nigeria”

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) recently took its tax advocacy program to Anglican Girls Grammar School, Apo, Abuja, with a successful outreach session that educated students on the importance of taxation in nation-building.

Led by Zacch Adedeji, PhD, Special Adviser on Communications and Advocacy to the Executive Chairman, and in collaboration with the Taxpayer Services and Communications Department of FIRS, the initiative emphasized the role of women in governance and encouraged students to become active participants in discussions on taxation and national development.

The students demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and understanding, actively engaging in conversations on how taxation contributes to national progress and good governance.

The school management, particularly Principal Mrs. Nkiru Nwakor, was praised for her support in making the initiative a success.

As the FIRS expands its advocacy program, its goal remains to nurture responsible future leaders who recognize taxation as a key driver of national progress.

This movement goes beyond awareness, aiming to foster civic responsibility and ensure a more sustainable and prosperous Nigeria.
