The association, in a statement jointly signed by its President, Adedayo Mayowa, and Secretary, Bola Adeniyi, said the lawmaker had pledged to empower members of the association if they supported his candidacy.

According to the group, the NPPVA Akungba branch mobilised its members to provide media support, including photography, videography and publicity, throughout the campaign period, a move they said contributed significantly to the success of the lawmaker at the polls.
The photographers noted that despite the lawmaker’s victory and the fact that his tenure is nearing completion, the association has yet to receive any form of the promised empowerment.
“We supported the honourable wholeheartedly, particularly in media coverage and publicity, based on the assurance given to us. Unfortunately, almost at the end of his tenure, nothing has been done to fulfil that promise,” the statement read.

The association appealed to the lawmaker to honour his commitment, warning that failure to do so may compel them to seek other means of redress.
They called for urgent engagement and concrete action before the expiration of the lawmaker’s tenure, stressing that their demand was rooted in fairness and mutual respect.
