Mizo prioritises Bayelsa United’s NPFL survival to top scorer award

Bayelsa United striker, Robert Mizo has revealed that helping his team maintain their Premier League status is more important to him than the highest goal scorer award

The prolific forward has netted six times in the Nigeria Premier Football League for the Yenagoa-based club this season

Mizo, however, said that it will be a great feeling to see his boyhood club continue playing in the top flight.

“Bayelsa United Premier league status is the real deal now,” he told DAILY POST.

“It won’t be nice winning the top scorer award and seeing us (Bayelsa United) relegated. This is my team and they must always be in the top flight every season.

Mizo currently trails Enyimba forward, Chukwuemeka Obioma who is on nine goals and Bendel Insurances’ Imade Osarenkhoe who has scored eight goals.
