Nollywood actress Sandra Okunzuwa has opened up about a past relationship that ended after her former boyfriend reportedly became uncomfortable with a kissing scene she acted in during a movie production.

The actress disclosed that her ex-partner called off their relationship after someone sent him a clip from one of her films showing her kissing a fellow actor.

Speaking about the experience, Okunzuwa said she initially believed his reaction was rooted in insecurity because he already knew she was an actress before they started dating.

Actress explains reason for breakup

“My ex-boyfriend ended our relationship after someone sent him a movie scene where I kissed an actor. At the time, I felt his reaction was purely from insecurity on his part,” she said.

“He knew very well that I was an actress before we even started dating. He had watched several of my movies, so it was surprising that a simple kissing scene in a film would make him call off the relationship,” the actress added.

‘Reel life is different from real life’

Okunzuwa stressed that acting requires performers to follow scripts professionally and that scenes acted on screen should not be confused with reality.

“Acting is my profession. When I am on set, I have to deliver according to the script. A kissing scene is just part of the job and not a reflection of my personal life,” she explained.

She further advised that anyone uncomfortable with the realities of the entertainment industry should avoid dating actors.
