Hollywood’s Eddie Murphy’s son, Martin Lawrence’s daughter welcome first child

American comedian and actor Eddie Murphy has announced the birth of his granddaughter, as his son Eric Murphy and Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmine Lawrence, welcomed a baby girl named Ari Skye.

The child, born recently, marks a new family bond between the two Hollywood stars, Murphy confirmed in an interview with E! News.

Speaking about the development, Murphy shared his excitement over the new addition while reflecting on parenting and the role of example over advice.

He said he believes children learn more from what their parents do than what they say.

“They just had a baby girl. They just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago. Yeah, Ari Skye. Oh, you don’t give advice like that. You know, your kids don’t go by your advice. Your kids go by the example you set.

“They watch you. The stuff you be saying, they don’t even pay that s–t no mind. They watch and see what you do. So, I don’t give a lot of advice,” he stated.

The birth of Ari Skye brings together two well-known entertainment families, as Murphy and Lawrence, long-time colleagues in Hollywood, now share a grandchild.
