Gary Neville Slams Manchester United Stars for “Poor Decision” Over International Break Trip

Why Neville Believes the Trip Was a Mistake

Gary Neville has expressed his disappointment over Marcus Rashford and Casemiro’s recent trip to the United States during the international break, stating that he believes the decision was ‘poor’ on the part of the Manchester United duo.

While acknowledging that some players do use international breaks to take well-deserved breaks and recharge, Neville surprisingly laid into Rashford and Casemiro for their choice to travel across the Atlantic.

“Rashford and Casemiro’s decision to go to America is poor, in my opinion,” Neville stated firmly. “They are two key players for Manchester United, and knowing that Erik ten Hag has only just beginning to get his squad together, and there is important work being done at the Aon Training Complex in Carrington.

“Rashford in particular is one player United need to be looking after as it is him who carries the burden of providing the attacking thrust for the Red Devils. And for Casemiro, as one of the most experienced players in the squad, one would expect more from him, especially with the club trying to challenge on multiple fronts.

Manchester United faces a critical run of fixtures in the coming weeks, including tough clashes in the Premier League, and Neville is worried that the trip might affect Rashford and Casemiro’s preparation and performance in those crucial matches.

Neville’s comments reflect his concerns for the team’s success and the importance of key players maintaining a consistent level of performance throughout the season.
