The Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, has formally accepted the revered traditional title of Ngar Bachama, three years after it was conferred on him by the Bachama Traditional Council.

Mustapha publicly affirmed his acceptance on February 14, 2026, during the one year anniversary celebration of the Huba Chiefdom, where he served as Chairman of the occasion.

The title was originally bestowed on him on December 10, 2022, in recognition of what the council described as his sustained support for the advancement of the Bachama Kingdom in Bwatiye Nation, located in Adamawa State.
While delivering his address at the colourful ceremony held in Hong, with the Paramount Ruler, Daniel Shaga Ismaila, the Hamma Bachama, in attendance, Mustapha expressed profound gratitude to the traditional institution and the people of Bachama land for the honour accorded to him. He particularly appreciated the Hamma Bachama, for the trust and confidence reposed in him.
He described the traditional title as a sacred responsibility that binds him more closely to the aspirations of the Bachama people, pledging to continue supporting initiatives that promote unity, development and peaceful coexistence within the kingdom and beyond.
Mustapha noted that traditional institutions remain critical partners in national development, stressing that their roles in preserving culture, promoting social harmony and fostering grassroots stability cannot be overstated.
The First Huba Chiefdom anniversary celebration attracted the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, top government officials, traditional rulers, political leaders, community stakeholders and cultural groups from across Adamawa, neighbouring states and the country, reflecting the growing influence of the Huba Chiefdom within the Bachama Traditional Kingdom. It was a moment of deep celebration indeed.
