Fiorentina and Atalanta Clash in Coppa Italia Semifinal First Leg

Fiorentina and Atalanta are set to go head-to-head in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals, which will take place at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The clash will see star players like Nico Gonzalez and Andrea Belotti leading the line for Fiorentina, while Atalanta will rely on the likes of Ademola Lookman and Teun Koopmeiners to secure a positive result.

Both teams have a history of strong performances in the competition, with Fiorentina losing in the Final last season and Atalanta being defeated in 2019 and 2021.

The fixture was originally scheduled to take place on March 17 in Serie A, but was postponed following the tragic passing of Fiorentina director Joe Barone.

Fiorentina head into the match after winning just one of their last six Serie A games, coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Udinese.

Fiorentina will have to make do without the services of Giacomo Bonaventura, who was suspended, and Lucas Martinez-Quarta, who is nursing an injury.

On the other hand, Atalanta will be missing defender Giorgio Scalvini due to a calf strain, while Charles De Ketelaere is also sidelined.

Despite these setbacks, Atalanta’s Teun Koopmeiners is ready to start after recovering from a muscular problem sustained on international duty.

With Gasperini serving a touchline ban, his assistant Tullio Gritti will be in charge from the dugout for Atalanta.

The lineups for the game include Fiorentina’s Terracciano, Kayode, Milenkovic, Ranieri, Parisi, Mandragora, Bonaventura, Gonzalez, Beltran, Kouame, and Belotti, up against Atalanta’s Carnesecchi, Djimsiti, Hien, Kolasinac, Holm, De Roon, Pasalic, Ruggeri, Koopmeiners, Miranchuk, and Lookman.
