The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports of alleged security threats in Kuje Area Council, describing the claims as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the reports were the handiwork of mischief makers seeking to incite fear and panic among residents.
The Command clarified that there is no credible security threat in the affected locations, including Wowo Garage in Chibiri, Shadadi Village, Shetuko Village, Kango Village, and Passali.
It explained that the visible presence of security personnel and ongoing patrols in the area are part of proactive measures to ensure public safety, and should not be interpreted as signs of imminent danger.
The statement further disclosed that the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, has deployed additional personnel to the communities to prevent any potential security breach and reassure residents.

The command urged residents to remain calm, vigilant, and security conscious, while also adding that promptly reporting any suspicious activities through the Command’s emergency lines is important to continue to poreserve peace and protect lives and property.
