EPL: We’re disappointed – Tottenham attacker speaks on not playing under Conte again

Tottenham attacking midfielder Dejan Kulusevski has insisted that club players ‘have to respect’ their under-fire manager Antonio Conte.

According to the Sweden international the team respects the comments made by the manager and has voiced his support for an ‘important man’.

Conte slammed the players, calling them selfish and went further to criticise Spurs hierarchy for not giving him the needed support.

The Italian was enraged by Spurs 3-3 draw at Southampton on Saturday and reports in England suggest that the former Juventus, Italy, Chelsea and Inter Milan boss is on his way out of the Tottenham league Stadium.

Asked if he would be happy to keep working with Conte, the Swedish attacker told Sky Sports: “Yeah, absolutely.

“He was very disappointed, as [were] us players. We have to accept that. We lost all the cups, we went out in the Champions League also so I know sometimes we have to be sad and angry.

“That is how he took it. Somebody else would take it in another way but we have to respect his words.”
