Former Arsenal man Ray Parlour has expressed a strong belief that Crystal Palace will not be relegated to the Championship this season.

Parlour believes new manager Roy Hodgson will steer the south London side clear of the drop in the Premier League.

Palace sacked Patrick Vieira as manager last week paving way for the return to Selhurst Park for veteran boss Hudson.

Hodson’s return was confirmed on Tuesday morning and Parlour expects the Eagles to be fine, despite their slide to the bottom three.

“I haven’t got Palace in my bottom six,” Parlour said as he gave his end-of-season predictions on talkSPORT.

“I don’t think they’ll be anywhere near the relegation battle.

“They have shown enough this season that they can avoid relegation, and with Roy Hodgson, back in charge it’s a steady pair of hands to get them over the line.

“I think they’ll stay up.”
