The Manchester United duo of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo have reacted the Premier League club’s decision to sack Erik ten Hag as manager.
During his time at Old Trafford, Ten Hag gave several academy graduates their United debuts, including Kobbie Mainoo.
The Dutchman also continued to assist Garnacho’s growth, which should be commended.
They will have been upset to see the Manchester United manager finally go – as showcased in social media posts.
Mainoo took to Instagram to bid farewell to the manager who gave him his debut, with some very touching words.
‘Thank you for your trust and belief in me and for giving me the opportunity to play for my boyhood club. I wish you all the best for the future.’
Garnacho, like Mainoo, also took to Instagram. The Argentine flourished under Ten Hag and cemented himself as an integral United first-team squad player under the Dutchman.
He wrote: ‘Thank you for everything, boss. I will always be grateful to you for giving me the opportunity and the confidence to play for this club.’
‘It hasn’t gone as well as we wanted, but I will remember the good times we had together and I wish you all the best in the future. Thank you very much Erik.’
