Victor Boniface has expressed disappointment after failing to score in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich on Friday night.

The 22-year-old put up a solid display in the thrilling contest but missed a couple of scoring opportunities.

Reflecting on his performance after the game, Boniface said he ought to have scored one or two goals against the defending champions.
“It was just a day, the ball didn’t want to go in. That’s football, sometimes you just don’t meet. After the game, I couldn’t even listen to the coach what said to us because I thought I had to score one or two goals,” he told Sky.de.

The Nigeria international has scored four goals and registered one assist in four league appearances for Die Werkself this season.

Xabi Alonso’s side maintained top position on the table following the draw.
