“He never helped me, he only gave me bad advice and bought food for me” – Portable blows hot at Davido (Video)

Nigerian street singer Portable has lashed out at his senior colleague, Davido.

Hours ago, videos of Davido celebrating Carter Efe went viral after his victory over Portable. The duo, along with their crew, had stormed a club to vibe and celebrate his win. In one clip, Davido was seen hugging Carter, and in another, Carter flaunted his champion belt for all to see, leaving Davido laughing.

In what seems like a response, the street singer made it clear that Davido never helped him. According to him, the singer only gave him bad advice and bought him food the first time they met at a restaurant.

He added that the second time they met at a club, Davido bought him alcohol but never gave him a verse.

Recall that in June, last year, Davido treated him to a dinner and gifted him a luxury shoe.

After dinner, Portable blasted him, claiming he had given him bad advice during their linkup. He noted that the music star is signed to Sony Music, yet told him not to sign to the label but rather to sign with Empire and collect an advance. He stated that the same Grammy Davido is chasing, he is also chasing it.

Following his draggings, Davido had unfollowed him on Instagram, and this enraged Portable, who stated that if Davido’s rival, Wizkid, had featured him in a song, he wouldn’t be begging the singer.

Speaking on their fallout in an interview, the controversial singer recounted how he canceled a $6k show in the US to meet Davido and he ended up wasting his time. Portable stated that if Davido or others can’t help him, then, they shouldn’t stress him.

Elsewhere in the interview, he revealed that Zlatan was the one who instigated his fight with Davido as they never had issues until Zlatan called the music star. He claimed that he was supposed to be at Davido’s wedding as one of his groomsmen, but the call from Zlatan, who he described as a Devil, changed it all.

During a banter with Twitter trolls, Davido took a swipe at Portable as he referenced his popular lounge in Ogun State, Odogwu Bar. The famous singer taunting Portable tweeted, “All these Odogwu Bar settings” with laughing emojis.

Responding to him, Portable, rather than drag Davido, shared a throwback photo of them when they met up in the US, and Davido treated him to a lavish dinner.
