“What you need to become governor is in my hands” – Primate Ayodele tells ex-minister Adelabu

The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has claimed that he holds the key to former Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu’s possible victory in the 2027 governorship election.

Ayodele said that what the former Power Minister, who is contesting for the seat of governor in Oyo State, needs is in his hands.

The controversial preacher said this in a viral video shared on social media on Monday, May 4, 2026.

He said, “What you need to become governor is in my hands.

“What you need to become governor is in my hands, come and take it. Try it, let APC, let them put you there. If you don’t take it, you’ll lose,” Ayodele said.

Speaking in a mix of Yoruba and English, the cleric added, “My son Bayo Adelabu, you are my son, I love you, you’re my son, I love you but if you miss it.”

Primate Ayodele in his remarks also claimed that his advice to the former minister stems from a revelation from God.

According to him, should the governor emerge victorious in the forthcoming election without his (Ayodele’s) blessings, then it means that there is no God.

“Let me boast, na God talk am for me. Let anybody call it anything. I am just challenging you that to become a governor, what you need to become a governor is in my pocket. If you win, there’s no God,” the cleric said.
