Hon. Kabiru Adamu Abdullahi, a prominent figure within the Kwankwasiyya movement in Kano State, has officially tendered his resignation from the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Abdullahi, who is a well-known House of Assembly aspirant in the Dala Local Government Area, announced his departure from the party on Friday following what he described as a direct mandate from the movement’s leadership.
In a formal resignation letter dated May 1, 2026, which was addressed to the ADC chairman in Kofar Ruwa Ward, the politician confirmed that his withdrawal from the party takes immediate effect.
He expressed gratitude for the time spent within the organization and wished the party well in its future political activities.
In the letter, he stated, “I hereby formally resign my membership of All Democratic Congress (ADC) at Kofar Ruwa Ward with immediate effect.”

He further requested that the ward leadership acknowledge the notice and forward the information to the necessary higher authorities, adding, “I sincerely appreciate the opportunity given to me to be part of the party and wish you and the party the very best in your future endeavors. Kindly accept this as my official notice and communicate same to the appropriate authorities.”
