Nollywood actress Moyo Lawal has shut down reports of arresting a troll over a viral picture of herself.

Kemi Filani reported a few days back, Moyo had addressed those bullying her for bleaching her skin. Sharing AI photos of herself with her face darkened, she questioned whether her critics are now happy and can let her breathe. Moyo noted that she gets bullied for something 90% of people are guilty of.

A Twitter user, ScoobyDoe, had mocked her over the picture, using her as an example to advise the public.

In a later post, he alleged that he was arrested and detained at Area F in Ikeja for a harmless exchange of banter with the actress. He claimed the DPO invited him, was locked up, and spent over a week in a cell until his lawyer came through.

Speaking up, Moyo debunked the report, making it clear that she can’t take away anyone’s fundamental human right because of something as frivolous as an opinion about an AI-generated image of her.

She said that if she were to arrest someone, the public would know who she would arrest. Noting how there is always a false narrative about her online, she admonished her haters to let her be.

While marking her return to social media, Moyo shed light on the leaked tape featuring her former partner, sharing an emotional video explaining the situation. She claimed that her ex blamed her for the tape, and made it known that she was flipping the switch and looking forward to an entirely new character and adventure.

Recall that Moyo was mercilessly dragged online after her tape leaked with many slamming her for being gullible to allow a man to record a tape of her, despite the series of leaked tapes among celebrities.

Issuing a public statement, Moyo revealed that the partner in the video was her ex-fiancë and threatened legal action, stating that the video was released without her permission, thereby violating her privacy and trust.

Shedding more light on it, she revealed that she only had s3x twice in 2022, one of which birthed the leaked tape. She admitted that she agreed to film the tape with him because he doesn’t reside in Nigeria, and besides, they were already planning to get married.

Some of her colleagues, like Mary Njoku, Uche Maduagwu, Prince Eke, and others reacted to the tape. While Mary Njoku slammed Nigerians for always blaming the victims, Uche Maduagwu called for AGN to suspend Moyo Lawal, and Prince Eke questioned if any brand would approach her.
