Tony Elumelu, wife grace niece’s fashion debut

Founder of the United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu, and his wife, Awele, were among prominent personalities who graced the unveiling of Chinyenmugo Obiekwugo-Charles’ fashion brand, Mugomugo Official.

The event, held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, was a dazzling display of elegance and creativity, as models strutted the runway in sleek black-and-white ensembles that set the tone for the evening.

Chinyenmugo’s debut 2026 collection, titled “Oasis of Dreams”, was sponsored by Redtech and presented a masterclass in style and sophistication. The collection featured intricate designs and bold silhouettes that left guests visibly impressed.

Speaking at the launch, Chinyenmugo took to the stage to express her gratitude to her family, particularly her uncle, Tony, and her mother, Agatha Elumelu-Obiekwugo, for their unwavering support.

“I thank God for bringing my dream to life, as well as my uncle and his family,” she said, drawing warm applause from the audience.

In a post shared on social media, Elumelu wrote, “Congratulations to my super talented niece, Chinyenmugo, on the launch of her fashion brand. Proud uncle.”

The evening was further enlivened by live music, as guests and models danced and mingled while enjoying signature cocktails. Overall, the launch stood as a celebration of creativity, family support, and the power of hard work and determination.
