The party said the primaries, which produced candidates for various elective positions, were marred by complaints in some areas, prompting aggrieved aspirants to file petitions.

In a statement signed by the interim chairman, Dr. Bege Katuka, and secretary, Mustapha Ahmed, the party said the situation was not unusual in internal contests and noted that its constitution provides clear grievance procedures.

It explained that all petitions from the exercise are currently being reviewed by the National Working Committee (NWC), which will take final decisions on the issues raised.

According to the party, the reconciliation effort has already led to consultations involving governorship aspirants, stakeholders and members across the state.

The ADC said the engagements are aimed at rebuilding trust, strengthening internal cohesion and ensuring unity ahead of the 2027 elections.

As part of the process, the party announced key appointments into its campaign structure in Kaduna State.

It named Prof. Muhammad Sami Bello (Mainan Zazzau) as Kaduna State Coordinator for the presidential campaign of its flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar.

It also appointed Hon. Jaafaru Ibrahim Sani as Director-General of the Kaduna State Gubernatorial Campaign Organisation.

The party said additional appointments would be announced later to accommodate diverse interests within its structure.

ADC commended its governorship candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan, for his commitment to reconciliation and willingness to accommodate differing views within the party.

It urged members to avoid inflammatory statements and unverified claims, warning that such actions could undermine ongoing peace efforts within the party.
