By Victor Kanayo

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has been left out of Gareth Southgate’s provisional England squad for Euro 2024.

This was revealed after the coach published his lineup for the summer tournament.

The Manchester United forward, 26, has struggled for form this season, scoring seven goals and managing two assists in 33 league appearances.

Rashford played in seven England games this season before being left out against Belgium in March and has now been omitted from Southgate’s training squad, which will include about 30 players.

There are reports Ajax midfielder Jordan Henderson has not been picked, while Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has also missed out.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Toni Kroos has announced he will retire from professional football after Euro 2024.

The 34-year-old has enjoyed a trophy-laden career with Real since he joined them from Bayern Munich in July 2014, winning both La Liga and the Champions League on four occasions.

Kroos was also part of the Germany team which won the World Cup in 2014.

He quit international football in July 2021 but came out of retirement in February after talks with Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Kroos made his debut for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga aged 17 in September 2007 and went on to win the first of three German league titles that season.

He was also part of the Bayern squad which won the Champions League in 2013, though did not play in the final.
